In 2010, James Faucher left Smith Moore Leatherwood, LLP, one of North Carolina's most prestigious law firms, to join Bob Benson and Drew Brown to form Benson, Brown, and Faucher, PLLC. James is a civil litigator with extensive experience handling a wide range of matters, including all types of personal injury matters and business disputes. James has regular experience appearing in all state and federal courts in North Carolina, including the North Carolina Business Court. At age 32, James was selected as a 2010 Rising Star by North Carolina Super Lawyers, a distinction limited to 2.5% of lawyers under the age of 40 practicing in North Carolina.

James' personal injury litigation experience includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants. James has regularly handled the following types of personal injury matters:

* Tractor-trailer and motor vehicle accidents.
* "Dram shop" actions against bars/restaurants that serve drunk drivers.
* Trip and fall/slip and fall.
* Failure to provide adequate security.

James' business litigation experience includes the following areas:

* Contract disputes, including disputes arising under the UCC
* Real estate title disputes

James is a 2000 graduate of Wake Forest University and a 2003 graduate, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law. James and his wife Emily are the proud parents of two young daughters. When not practicing law or spending time with his family, James enjoys running, playing softball, and is an avid fan of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
